Meet-and-Greets
Meet-and-greets take place at pet stores, art fairs, farmers' markets, bookstores, and anywhere we think might be a good venue to promote greyhound adoption.
You'll have the opportunity to meet some fabulous adopted hounds and our wonderful volunteers. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding our volunteers' experiences with their beloved pets or about the breed in general.
At our meet-and-greets, we have dogs, people, brochures, adoption applications, and a donation jar. Our dogs love the attention, though they are very tuckered out the next day because of all the effort they expend being charming! We often also raise money at these meet-and-greets via donations, which in turn helps us to rescue more greyhounds.
It is gratifying for our volunteers to share the experiences they've had with their hound(s) with potential adopters. Oh yeah--and we get to show off our hounds!
Meet-and-greets are offered throughout the year and at many different locations around the Chicagoland and southern Wisconsin regions. Many of our meet-and-greet locations have books featuring pictures of all of our available hounds!
