Felix is a friendly, playful boy who absolutely loves to romp and play. He is a sweet boy, and  will make a terrific pet. Check out the pictures of Felix running and playing at the kennel - he especially seems to like Loofah toys! He is long overdue to live with a loving family- do you have room in your heart for Felix?

Electric is a big, solid boy with a beautiful thick, shiny black coat. He is strong and active, but can be a little shy in new situations - he likes to stand close to other hounds and tuck his head under them.  He might do best with another hound to be his buddy and show him the ropes.  While he enjoys having his coat brushed, he is not fond at all of having his nails trimmed, so a trip to the vet may be neeeded until he gets comfortable with this process.

Hanna is one happy beautiful little girl! She is outgoing, friendly, and playful, and should do well with people of all ages. For fun, Hannah has been attending classes at her kennel 2-3 times a week, and is reported to be one of the star students! She also enjoys car rides, playing with toys and tummy rubs. Update: Hanna has been on seizure meds for about 4 months now, and fortunately has not had any episodes since last fall. However, she will need to remain on her meds and will require regular bloodwork to check her phenobarbital level. (All of this is very routine) She has been patiently waiting for a family to love her as much as she will love them. Please put Hanna down on your application if you think she could be your girl!

JD is a curious, friendly, moderately active boy, and at a recent meet n' greet was happy to meet other dogs large and small. He walks well on the leash. This boy loves toys and is happy to pick his own treats off the shelf at the pet store! He would probably be best with older children because of his energetic interest in toys.

This Irish-born girl is confident and moderately active. She enjoys her walks, but can be strong on the leash. She loves being with her people, receiving lots of attention, and playtime with toys.

Although she showed some interest in toys, Myra was happiest receiving attention from people. At her first meet n'greet, she charmed everyone she met with her friendly nature, snuggling up to people and other greyhounds alike. She is affectionate, gentle, tolerant, and should be able to live with people of all ages in a moderately active home.

Buddy is a very people-oriented boy. He would be a great ambassador for greyhound adoption meet and greets. He likes affection, gives kisses, and should be able to live with people of all ages.

After some initial shyness upon his arrival from the track, King has settled into Chicago living and found his stride. On walks he is initially strong on leash but quickly settles down and with a little work will be a real leashwalking pro. He is happy, easygoing, and a little bit goofy. This stunning brindle boy is a real sweetheart - his tail is always wagging, he loves to snuggle, and he loves to lean! 

This roman-nosed boy is shy and uncomfortable with handling so far. An experienced greyhound owner and perhaps another dog in the home would make this boy happy. He will require daily eyedrops in both eyes to keep his pannus under control, which may cost approx. $40 every month or two. (he's worth it though!)

Hooty is an energetic little girl that would love to have another hound to play with. She sustained a broken leg, which has been repaired and she is good as new. Hooty needs a very secure yard with a 6 foot fence because she likes going over things. She uses a doggy door in her foster home. Since she has a plate in her leg, she would be best with older children. She also loves squeaky toys!

A little aloof upon arriving from Florida, Cruise's easy-going and friendly personality is beginning to shine. She is shy at first in new situations, but quickly recovers her confidence. She is a speedy girl and has some energy to burn - she led the pack in laps around the playroom at her kennel! - but after a few minutes is happy to follow you around and demonstrate the greyhound lean for some attention. She gets along great with her other hound friends and tested cat-friendly. Cruise is ready to enjoy retirement and become your cherished companion! 

During his evaluation, Champ was a bit timid and nervous. He could use some work on his socialization. He showed interest in toys, but due to his shy nature, he may do best in a less active home with older children.

Lilly is a loveable, affectionate little girl. She is easy going, gentle, and should be able to live with people of all ages. Littermate of Ucme Break Even (Eve).

Eve is an active and curious little girl. She walks well on leash but when excited, she tends to jump, so she may be better in a home with older children. At her first meet n'greet in the city she was calm, collected, and well-behaved. Littermate of Ucme Lil Freak (Lilly).

Belle is a very expressive fawn girl. She is gentle, easy going and affectionate. Belle should be able to live with people of all ages.

This big, handsome boy is calm, sweet, and gentle. He is still a bit on the shy side, but should blossom the more he gets to know his new surroundings. He should be able to live with cats. More to come when we get to know him a little better!

Breeze is a tiny little girl who is a little shy - she likes to hide under her big half-brother McGraw. More to come when we get to know her a little better!

May is a curious abd busy girl. She loves toys and kept herself entertained by tossing them in the air and catching them. She would be happiest in a moderately active home.

Carly is a very happy girl with a tail that wags nonstop! In fact, her adopter should probably keep fragile items above waist level because her tail could clear a table! She has an outgoing personality, loves people and gives kisses.
